Well today so far Jacob got to see two of his sisters, and his other 5 siblings ( my other kids) will get to come back up soon... yay for baby Jacob he is one of 8 all together including his daddy's 2 daughters here are some pictures of Jacob with all of his brothers and sisters!

His broviac line is out now.. belly is still distended a bit but better

Jacob is doing good, he has taken a bottle from me 2x so far today first time he took 27ml of 52 and second time he took 22mls of the 52 he is on now.. we stop with the bottle and put it through his feeding tube when he starts to brady and desat and he did it again so we said ok hes had enough

Jacob 28 days 4 weeks old update

Well my big man got rid of another line today! Broviac is gone... yay Jacob. He is back on O2 for a bit to see if it helps with the bradys and desats, we shall see what happens at this next feed at 3.. Hes doing good and 6lb 4oz now so growing like a weed.

Jacob 27 days old

Belly is a bit swollen still, hoping its nothing but hoping the surgeon cks it out when they come by.

Well Jacob is doing really well, still waiting on surgery to see if they are taking out the Broviac line today, (His iv in his chest). He is having some issues with brady's (heart rate dropping) and Desat's (not breathing well) with his feeds, his heart went down to 40 with the last feed so we stopped and NG'd the rest.. gotta figure out the brady's and such that are starting back up if i wanna take my lil guy home. He brings it back up hisself so far and no measures are taken by staff so i guess thats good. He is sleeping soundly after his bath today so all is good in his little world.

26 day update

Well we are looking at tomorrow for taking out the broviac line.. Jacob is taking more feeds from the bottle usually between 30-40 of his 50 now.. but he is having issues with brady's and desats some while eating so prob gonna have to address that soon.. he is doing good and as of last night was 6lb 3oz!! Thats a full pound and two ounces up from birth and shoot almost 2 pounds up from his smallest weight! And Jacob pulled out his OG tube (feeding tube) at his 3pm feeding nurse said that since he nursed for 12 minutes then took 6mls of his bottle she wasnt going to put it right back in.. good job lil man! Only issue today is he keeps bradying and desating at feeding time.

25 days 3 weeks 4 days old

Well was told today that Jacob's Broviac line will be coming out either tomorrow or the next day. They will do it bedside and give him meds to relax and then numb it and out it goes! He was taken off his fluids yesterday and is now on just enough of a small dose tpn to keep his broviac open till its out! He is doing alot better with feeding but still only taking less than half by bottle but that will get better in time. He is doing so great and im so proud of him.

23 days old! 3 weeks 2 days update

Well baby Jacob is doing so well, he took 15 ml's of milk from the bottle today for me and that is awesome.. he has pooped 3x today that i have changed. Im so proud of my little guy he is doing so well.. last hurdle is feeding and he is doing so well right now, just need to take all feeds from the bottle then we can go home
